Bench Ball
Bench Ball is a game that combines strategy, teamwork, and agility. Here's how it works:
Setup:
- Arrange two rows of benches facing each other with a considerable amount of space in between.
- Form two teams.
- Assign one player from each team to stand on the bench allocated to their respective teams.
- Scatter the remaining players from both teams in the middle space.
Objective:
The purpose of the game is to pass the ball among team members and eventually throw it to the player on their bench.
Rules:
- If the player on the bench catches the ball from a throw made by their team member, the person who threw the ball joins them on the bench.
- Once a player is on the bench, they become eligible to catch the ball.
- The game continues until every member of a team has joined on the bench. Such a team is declared the winner.
Interception:
- The opposing team can intercept the ball, or pick it up if it drops.
- Physical contact is not allowed, but defenders can stand as close to the opposing players as they want.
Scoring:
- If the player on the bench drops the ball or falls off the bench while attempting to catch, it does not count.
- After a player successfully joins the teammate on the bench, the ball is handed over to the other team.
Caution:
- Players should exercise caution during the gameplay to avoid breaking anything.
- The game requires spatial awareness and good coordination among team members.
