Shoe Scramble

Game Description

Shoe Scramble is an engaging game aimed at promoting teamwork and communication among group members. It could also serve as an exciting icebreaking activity. The game works best with children, teenagers, and young adults.

Preparation

  • Gather eye masks for each participant (you can use face masks as a substitute)

Instructions

  1. Have the participants remove their shoes and stand in a circular formation. You could create multiple circles if you wish to make the game competitive.

  2. Next, each participant must put on their eye masks or face masks and hold hands with their neighboring participants.

  3. An instructor will then instruct the participants to rotate in certain directions (3 steps to the left, 2 steps to the right, etc.), with the objective to disorient them.

  4. While this is happening, other supervisors should shuffle the shoes to scramble their locations and orientations.

  5. After shuffling, the participants must then find and wear their own shoes again, without using their hands or sight.

  6. The first group to finish receives the most points. The last group or those who fail to complete the task successfully receive the least points or none.

The main goal of this game is to encourage an environment of synergy and camaraderation, that enhances communication within the group.
