Small group game, Team building

Shoelace Threading

Description:

Prepare some eye masks for this game. You can also use face masks if needed.

Instructions:

  1. Participants should form a circle. If the group is large, you can create multiple circles for a more competitive game.

  2. Place several shoes in the center of each circle. The total number of shoes will depend on the group’s age and how long you want the game to run.

  3. Completely remove the shoelaces from the shoes and place them on the ground.

  4. All participants, except for one (or more, depending on group size), should put on their masks.

  5. Now, the masked participants try to re-lace the shoelaces onto the shoes.

  6. The participant(s) without a mask can instruct the blindfolded members on how to do it, but they are not allowed to lace the shoe themselves.

  7. The team that laces their shoes the fastest wins.

Objective:

The purpose of this game is to enhance communication and cooperation among group members. It can also serve as a fun way to memorize names.

Target Group:

This game is most suitable for young adults, who typically have better hand-eye coordination, though teenagers should be able to handle it as well. If children participate, be prepared for a noticeable increase in game time.
