Empire
Description:
Empire is a fun and engaging game where everyone writes a character on a piece of paper. These pieces of paper are then placed into a hat without revealing who wrote each character. The game begins by randomly selecting someone as the active player. This player has to guess the character another player wrote down. If they guess correctly, the player whose character was revealed then joins their 'Empire,' and they continue guessing. However, if they guess incorrectly, the turn passes to the player whose character was guessed. The game continues until only one empire remains. The last empire standing is declared the winner!
Game Rules:
- Each player writes a character on a piece of paper.
- All the pieces of paper are put into a hat, and the authorship of each character is kept undisclosed.
- At random, designate someone to start as the active player.
- That player has to pick another player and guess which character they wrote down.
- If they guess correctly, the player whose character was revealed joins their empire, and they can continue guessing.
- If their guess is wrong, the play passes to the player who was just guessed.
- Continue the game until only one empire remains.
- The last empire remaining wins!
Variations:
- Players joining an empire can assist the emperor in guessing.
- Instead of writing characters, players could be given open-ended questions to write down humorous or thought-provoking responses. For example, your question could be, "What is the worst superpower to have?".
